RBAA is proud to be the largest amateur fishing club in Queensland, with the largest junior membership. We place a strong emphasis on providing educational experiences for our junior anglers. Through our Junior Programme, children are able to learn about fishing sustainably, exploring the beach safely, and appreciating the natural environment. They are mentored by experienced local fishermen who not only teach them the practical skills of fishing but also instil in them a respect for the environment.

In addition to promoting fishing, RBAA is also committed to environmental conservation. We work in cooperation with the Gympie Regional Council to reduce marine debris in our region through the Let's Tackle Waste programme. RBAA members actively participate in collecting litter from Rainbow Beach and recording the type and amount of rubbish. This data enables the council to tackle the source of the problem and make a bigger impact in reducing marine debris.

Becoming a member of RBAA is a fantastic experience for anglers of all skill levels. We welcome adults, cadets, and juniors to join our inclusive and friendly club. In addition to regular fishing competitions, we also organise social trips and have a strong sense of community within our club. We support and learn from each other, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
