Red Star Taekwon-Do and Kickboxing

Red Star Taekwon-Do and Kickboxing, located in Dublin 7, is a well-known gym and martial arts club that offers a range of classes for both adults and children. The club is run by a committee of volunteers who oversee the day-to-day operations of the club.

Originally established in 2004 in a school hall in Cabra, Red Star has grown from a local part-time club to a professional full-time training club with internationally recognised fighters. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, Red Star relocated to Gaelscoil Bharra in Cabra, Dublin 7, where it continues to be one of the most well-known martial arts clubs in the country.

Red Star prides itself on its warm and inclusive atmosphere. With 80% of its membership under 18 years old, the club focuses on developing strong and confident sport martial artists, promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Before Covid-19, Red Star offered a variety of classes tailored to each stage of a child's growth, and the club aims to resume these activities in the near future.

All coaches at Red Star are certified by the Irish Martial Arts Commission, which is the government-recognised national governing body for Martial Arts in Ireland. Additionally, all coaches hold valid first aid certificates, are Garda vetted, and have completed Safeguarding 1 and Safeguarding 2 courses.
