Stephen Woodcock invites you to the friendly Rubery Barn Dance Club, located near Rubery Village Centre at the Rubery Community and Leisure Centre. No matter your skill level—whether you're a newbie or a seasoned dancer—Stephen and the club members are here to ensure you have a great time learning and dancing.
Barn dancing is all about having fun. When a dance goes right, it's exhilarating, and when it doesn't, it’s still a good laugh. No need to bring a partner; we rotate partners to help you meet new people and make friends.
It's also a fantastic way to stay fit, dancing along to live music from our in-house band, Treble Clef. They always keep the energy high and the atmosphere buzzing.
Don’t worry about dressing the part—just come as yourself in casual gear. Our well-ventilated hall will keep you comfortable throughout the night.
Founded in 1994 by Stephen, the Rubery Barn Dance Club offers a mix of dances for everyone, from simple routines to more complex moves. We welcome new members and are keen to grow our community. Twice a month, Treble Clef takes the stage, playing everything from traditional English barn dances to Scottish ceilidh tunes.
With talented callers in the mix, every session is diverse and exciting. Only £2.50 per meeting, including a drink and biscuits at the break, it’s a bargain for such a lively night out. Come alone or with friends, everyone’s welcome.
