About
Sale Bowls Club is a sports club located in Wellington Shire, Australia. Established in 1896, it holds the distinction of being one of the oldest clubs in the area and the state. The club competes in the Gippsland Bowls Region and the North Gippsland Playing Area Saturday and Midweek Pennant, achieving great success in recent years.
The club offers a vibrant social programme with games played on Wednesdays during Pennant season and Saturdays during the off-season. Additionally, every Tuesday evening from October to March, the club hosts Crackerjack (Barefoot) games. With three greens, including two TigerTurf synthetic greens and one grass green, all players have the opportunity to enjoy the game in a comfortable and well-maintained setting.
A key element of the club's success lies in its partnership with the Lakeside Club Sale, which was established in 2009 through the merger of the Sale Community Sports Club Inc. and the Sale Bowls Club Inc. This collaboration allows for support of various sporting and community activities. The Lakeside Club Sale offers a bistro that serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, providing a perfect dining option for members and guests.
The club also caters to functions, conferences, and conventions.
Sports enthusiasts can indulge in their passion by watching thoroughbred racing on TVN, participating in tipping competitions through Sports Pick, and enjoying AFL and rugby matches live on Fox Sports on the big screen while placing bets at the TAB. The friendly, professional, and highly trained staff ensure that every visit to the club is serviced with excellent customer support.
To stay updated with the latest news and events, the Sale Bowls Club has a dedicated Facebook page. Members and guests can also visit the Lakeside Club Sale website to learn more about upcoming activities and promotions.
