As part of the long-running Sama Organisation, operating since 1978, it’s the largest professional karate and kickboxing group in the UK, with over 12,000 members training weekly.
Offering classes in various nearby locations, including Hove, Mile Oak, Hangleton, Fishersgate, Shoreham, and Southwick, this school stands out for its flexibility. With no contracts, direct debits, or consultation fees, it’s a hassle-free option for anyone keen on martial arts.
The karate programme focuses on building focus and awareness. Students have the chance to transform their body and mind through structured training. All instructors are fully qualified, CRB/DBS checked, first aid certified, and follow child protection policies endorsed by the BMABA (British Martial Arts & Boxing Association).
The kickboxing programme offers a full-body workout, blending high-energy sports with martial art techniques and boxing movements to provide a dynamic exercise experience.
Recognised and a full member of the BMABA, Sama Organisation Portslade is also an approved youth group with extensive experience in martial arts education. The emphasis is on providing a safe and supportive environment for students of all ages.

Junior lessons are £6 each, with an annual membership and insurance fee of £20 after the first three lessons. Adult lessons are £7 each, with a £30 membership and insurance fee after three lessons.
