S-Factor Academy

S-Factor Academy is a renowned Athletic club based in London, offering training sessions and athletic coaching for individuals aged 7–25 years. Founded in 2010 by Lisa Miller, a former Commonwealth GB silver medallist, the Academy aims to inspire and empower young people from London communities to reach their full potential through organised athletics. With the support of dedicated volunteers and local organisations/schools, S-Factor has successfully trained and nurtured three separate groups of athletes.

One of the significant accomplishments of S-Factor Academy was joining the prestigious Kent Young Athletics League (KYAL) in 2021. Through consistent participation in training sessions and competitions, the athletes of S-Factor developed essential skills such as confidence, resilience, and teamwork. Over the course of two years, the Club excelled in the league, securing first place in each of the four Division 2 competition meetings. As a result, S-Factor Athletics Academy has been promoted to Division 1, thereby setting the stage for an exciting and challenging future.

The training groups at S-Factor Academy cater to varying age groups and skill levels. The Junior Group focuses on the FUNdamentals of track and field events, introducing young athletes aged 7–11 years to a range of running, jumping, and throwing activities. For athletes aged 12 and above, the Senior Group provides specialised training in sprinting, field events, and middle-distance running. The sessions prioritise overall athleticism, targeting strength, speed, agility, power, flexibility, and conditioning.

Additionally, the Academy boasts an award-winning PAN Disability Inclusive Group, which welcomes young people aged 7-25+ with any disability. The Inclusive Group offers tailored training programmes that accommodate each athlete's needs, promoting physical and mental well-being, teamwork, and social skills.

S-Factor Academy is supported by a dedicated team of qualified coaches and volunteers who are passionate about fostering athletic talent and personal growth. The coaching staff includes Mensah Elliott (Club Manager and Head Coach), Robert Mason, Darren Lemonius, George Muana, Shareen Miller, Darren Brown, Victor Olamide, Clint Stephenson, Allesha Morgan, Adam Thomas (Inclusive Group Coach), Dee Persaud, and Lionel Fenton. In addition to the coaching team, the Academy benefits from the expertise of Monica Drummond (Welfare Officer), Jennifer Campbell (Club Secretary), and Cheryl John (Admin Support).

As an organisation committed to the well-being and safety of its members, S-Factor Academy maintains a Child Safeguarding Policy to ensure a secure and supportive training environment.

S-Factor Academy welcomes new members to join the club. The membership prices for S-Factor Academy are as follows: Inclusive Price is 40 for annual membership, while for existing members, each training session costs 3.
