Shaanti Yoga Tasmania is a well-established yoga studio located in Margate, Tasmania. Bianca, the founder and instructor, is a highly skilled and accredited yoga and Yin Yoga instructor. She brings a holistic approach to her practise, incorporating her First Degree Reiki training to help her clients connect with their bodies, minds, and spirits.
With a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation of People Living with Physical Disabilities, Bianca has a deep understanding of the human body and its ability to heal through movement and breath. She also holds a Certification in Dance Education, which has allowed her to explore the healing aspects of movement therapy and psychology.
Bianca's passion for movement began at a young age when she started ballet at the age of six. She later discovered oriental dance and Tai Chi, further expanding her knowledge and expertise in different forms of movement and mindfulness. Growing up with a visually impaired father and a mother who embraces a positive outlook on life, Bianca learned early on the importance of overcoming obstacles and nurturing a healthy can-do attitude.
At Shaanti Yoga Tasmania, clients can expect to be guided through breathwork, mindful movement, meditation, and relaxation techniques. Bianca encourages her clients to let go of judgement and embrace the present moment, empowering them to overcome obstacles and achieve a state of calm and peace.
The name “Shaanti” comes from the Sanskrit word for peace, reflecting the studio's mission to provide a tranquil and nurturing environment for its clients. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, Shaanti Yoga Tasmania offers a variety of classes to suit all levels and preferences.
In addition to weekly classes held at Margate Primary School, the studio also offers pop-up outdoor yoga sessions, weather permitting. Private sessions and group sessions for friends or family are also available upon request.
