Get ready to pedal for a cause at the Family Day and Shine a Light on Road Safety Community Walk hosted by EastLink Trail. As a proud sponsor of the Shine a Light on Road Safety campaign, the club is inviting locals to join in on the fun at Albert Park Lake, Melbourne on Sunday, May 5th, 2024.
The event kicks off with the welcome desk opening at 10am, followed by the walk starting at 11am. Participants can choose to walk, cycle, or roll along the scenic 5km route around Albert Park Lake, with a shorter 2km option available for those looking for a more leisurely stroll. If walking isn't your thing, feel free to relax in the marquee seating area with a cup of coffee and good conversation.
Remember to dress in your brightest attire or wear the favorite colors of your loved ones to help spread awareness about road safety. Families are encouraged to join in on the fun, with entertainment and food trucks available from 10am onwards. Registration is now open, with adult entry priced at $35, children aged 5-17 at $15, and even furry friends can participate for $10 which includes a stylish doggy bandana. Children under five can join in for free.
