Welcome to Starlite School of Dance, a well-established dance school in Plymouth. Founded in 2012 by Sophie and Lucy, Starlite continues the legacy of the Marnic School of Dance, which had been in operation for over 50 years. In 2016, Starlite proudly won the Marjorie Lyndon Award, a testament to our commitment to excellence in dance education.

At Starlite, we offer a wide range of classes throughout the week, including Ballet, Tap, and Disco/Freestyle lessons. Our classes are held at various locations in Plympton, Chaddlewood, and Eggbuckland, ensuring accessibility for all. We believe in providing our students with a comprehensive dance education, which is why we hold exams twice a year in collaboration with the National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD). These exams allow our students to progress through the graded syllabus and earn recognised awards and qualifications.

In addition to exams, our students have the opportunity to showcase their talents at local events such as the Lord Mayors Day and Eggbuckland Summer Fair. We believe in creating a fun and inclusive environment where our students can not only learn the technical aspects of dance but also enjoy the art form.

Our dedicated and knowledgeable instructors prioritise teaching excellence, ensuring that our students receive the highest standard of dance education. We believe that dance is about more than just learning the steps, and our aim is to inspire a lifelong love and appreciation for dance.

In terms of fees, the cost of lessons ranges from 4 to 8 depending on the grade level. We also offer an Adult Tap class on Fridays at the Chaddlewood Community Centre, providing an opportunity for adults to enjoy the benefits of dance.
