About

St Cuthbert's Society Boat Club (SCSBC) is where the fun's at in Durham! Danny and the team welcome everyone from the JCR – whether you’ve rowed before or are just starting out.

New to rowing or fancy trying coxing? No worries – the club’s got you covered with training sessions to get you up to speed. They’ve got water and land workouts, ergs, circuits, and cardio to boost your fitness and technique.

Ready to race? SCSBC sorts competitions for every level. Rowers and coxes can show off their skills and represent Cuth's against other colleges and clubs. The senior squads even take on big events like the London Heads and Durham Regatta.

For beginners, the Durham Novice Cup is a great first race, offering a friendly and supportive vibe. Plus, SCSBC’s got some stylish stash so you can sport your club pride!

But it's not just about rowing – Danny and the team organise fab socials too. From boathouse meet-ups to formal events like the Burns Night Ceilidh and Summer dinner, there’s loads of chances to hang out and make mates across the club.

Keep up with all the action by following SCSBC on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, or drop them an email at cuthberts.boatclub@durham.ac.uk. Membership fees are easily paid online, and all their details are on social media and their website.

SCSBC is proud to be part of the Cuth's JCR, and they encourage everyone to check out other societies and sports on offer. Join the fun and be part of this fantastic community in Durham!
