Studio 7 Dance

Studio 7 Dance is a family run dance and performance arts school located in Horsley Woodhouse. The school is dedicated to helping their students realise their potential and values all of its members and family members. They actively promote a safe and friendly environment where students can develop a passion for dance and performing arts.

Studio 7 Dance offers a wide range of classes that cover various genres, including ballet, tap, modern, street, acro, musical theatre, vocal, contemporary, national, stretch, adult fitness, and adult dance. With such a diverse range of classes, there is something for everyone at Studio 7 Dance.

The school was established in October 2014 and started with only 2 students. Within 6 months, the school had over 100 students, and now, after 4 years, they have over 200 students enrolled. Studio 7 Dance follows the ISTD syllabus in ballet, tap, and modern, but also offers many other styles of dance, catering to students from age 18 months up to adults.

In addition to regular classes, Studio 7 Dance also competes in various competitions, holds annual shows, and takes yearly examinations in ballet, tap, and modern. They have achieved outstanding results in these examinations and have gained recognition for their performances at festivals and events.

The principal teacher at Studio 7 Dance is Miss Michelle, who has been dancing since the age of 4. She became a student teacher at the age of 16 and went on to become a qualified teacher, completing her DDI & DDE qualification with the ISTD in ballet, tap, and modern syllabus. Miss Michelle teaches all genres but focuses mainly on ballet, tap, modern, and acrobatics. She sets hundreds of solos, duets, trios, and troupes for events throughout the year.

Miss Hannah is another teacher at Studio 7 Dance, specialising in contemporary and commercial/street dance. She has recently qualified in her DDI & DDE ballet, tap, and modern and is working towards her national qualification. Miss Hannah's classes have become extremely popular, and the school had to split them into separate classes for each genre. She also teaches a boys class, vocal group, and graded examination classes.

Studio 7 Dance has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with fantastic staff who are passionate about dance and performance arts. They have a refurbished studio that was enlarged to accommodate their growing number of students.
