Sunny City Swing

"Sunny City Swing is a vibrant dance school located in Calgary, offering a welcoming and inclusive space for anyone interested in swing dancing. With a motto of 'It's not about how much you know, it's about how much fun you can have,' the school aims to make learning to dance an enjoyable and social experience for all.

Every Sunday, Sunny City Swing hosts a drop-in beginner lesson at the Sunalta Community Hall, from 6pm to 7pm. No partner or experience is required to join in the fun. Following the lesson, there is a free line Charleston and Shim Sham social dance from 7pm onwards, providing an opportunity for participants to practice their new moves in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

In addition to their regular classes, Sunny City Swing also hosts special events throughout the year, such as the Red and White Ball Valentine's Day Swing Dance. This event features live swing music from the authentic 1940s swing band, The Monsters of Swing, creating a romantic and nostalgic atmosphere for dancers to enjoy.
