The Tīkapa Moana Youth Explorer event hosted by NZ Sailing Trust is an exciting opportunity for students aged 13-18 to experience the thrill of sailing and kayaking in Auckland, New Zealand. Participants will have the chance to learn valuable skills such as navigation, weather reading, and group cooking while making new friends and creating lasting memories. Sailing aboard Lion New Zealand and Steinlager 2, participants will face challenges that will help build resilience and decision-making abilities. In addition to the outdoor activities, there will be opportunities for beach cleanups, raft building, and skill-enhancing communication exercises. For those interested, the program also offers optional components for completing the Duke of Edinburgh Hillary Award. With experienced instructors, food, camping equipment, accommodation, and more included in the cost of $1,575.00, this is an unmissable opportunity for adventure seekers.
