In addition, the club emerged victorious in the Inaugural Sky City Blues Franchise competition in 2001, competing against clubs from Auckland, North Harbour, and Northland Rugby Unions.
The tops' success extends to a remarkable string of championship wins. Notably, Takapuna won seven successive North Harbour Championships from 2000 to 2006 and secured the topship ten times overall. The club has also achieved success in other formats of the game, such as winning the North Harbour 7's Competition in 2003.
