Te Puia Surf Co runs surf lessons in Hot Water Beach for people who want to learn to ride or build confidence in the ocean. The surf school teaches fun, supportive surfing with your safety as a priority, including shortboard and longboard coaching. Lessons are held daily around low tide, with coaches in the water to guide you on technique, wave types, rips and currents. Learner boards and warm wetsuits are supplied, and spade hire is available.
