Team Jorvik Swim Club is a competitive swim club based in York, New Zealand. We offer a range of squads catering to swimmers of various ages and abilities, from beginners to elite athletes. Our dedicated coaching team provides expert guidance and training to help our swimmers reach their full potential. We are proud to have produced numerous national champions and represented York at regional and national competitions.
Our club is run by a management committee, in accordance with Swim New Zealand guidelines. The committee ensures the smooth running of the club and the welfare and wellbeing of our members. We have comprehensive policies in place to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all.
At Team Jorvik, we understand the importance of fostering a positive and supportive team culture. Our swimmers not only develop physical strength and technical skills but also learn important life skills such as perseverance, self-discipline, and self-belief. We believe that swimming is not just a sport or a life skill, but an integral part of a healthy lifestyle.
In addition to our competitive squads, we also host regular galas and open meets, providing our swimmers with opportunities to showcase their skills and compete against other clubs. Our gala calendar is updated regularly, and we encourage our members to participate and represent Team Jorvik with pride.
