The Classical Studio is a boutique dance school located in Cheltenham, Melbourne. It is the brainchild of Beverly Jane Fry, who has had a lifetime of experience in the world of classical ballet. After 19 years as the Director of the National Theatre Ballet School, Beverly decided to open her own school where she could provide excellence and personalised ballet training in a dedicated, calming environment.
At The Classical Studio, the emphasis is on creating a passionate and calm atmosphere for students to thrive in. Beverly believes that no matter what you want to achieve in life, classical ballet will give you the tools necessary to succeed. Discipline, courage, strength, power, poise, determination, willpower, and patience are just some of the qualities that can be developed through the study of ballet.
Beverly's own dancing dreams came true through the support of her family, great training, and the determination to push past the negativity of others. She now wants to pass on this same support and guidance to her students at The Classical Studio. With her years of experience as an international ballerina and an artistic director, Beverly has choreographed and directed numerous productions, some of which have been presented to royalty. She has also had the opportunity to choreograph for the Melbourne Awards and the television series Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries.

No auditions are required to join the school, and everyone is welcome. The goal is to provide personal, world-class professional training in classical ballet to each student.
