Situated in Batley, The Venue Birstall, a multipurpose room known for its historical significance, originally opened as a cinema in 1919 and later transformed into a dance venue in 1991, retaining its '20s architectural character. This spot is ideal for special events, including parties and wedding receptions.

One of The Venue's standout features is its large, well-maintained maple dance floor, perfect for various dance occasions. The spacious hall comfortably seats up to 200 people, with a licensed capacity for more, providing a stylish and comfortable environment for any event.

Conveniently, The Venue Birstall is just a short drive from the M62 motorway junction 27, making it easily accessible from Leeds, Wakefield, and Batley. Visitors will find ample on-road parking available. The main room hosts a large bar area stocked with a variety of drinks, including draught beers.

For catering, The Venue does not provide food services, but organisers can make their own arrangements. They offer three six-foot tables free of charge and can provide covers for an additional fee. Banqueting tables, including six 5' round tables with white linen cloths, are available, seating up to 60 guests. Organisers are welcome to bring their own table decorations and balloons to personalise the space.

It's important to note that The Venue is available for hire on Saturday evenings only, from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, due to high demand and regular dance events. The Venue does not host children's, 18th, or 21st parties and cannot accommodate “dry” events. However, they offer a range of dance tuition options and host social dance nights and Motown nights, allowing guests to fully enjoy the lively atmosphere.
