Nestled in the heart of Mexico City, The Yoga Room is a cozy studio led by experienced certified instructors in the practice of Iyengar Yoga. Our classes are currently offered both live via Zoom and in-person, with private sessions available upon request. We also provide pre-recorded classes catering to various needs, including restorative yoga, lower back relief, mobility, pranayama, and more. Additionally, you can access insightful pre-recorded talks on basic yoga philosophy and engaging interviews with internationally recognized masters through the Mexican Association of Iyengar Yoga's Facebook page.
Tesy Ades, our lead instructor, brings 22 years of yoga practice and training directly from the Iyengar family in RIMIYI, Pune, India. With a year spent in the Advanced Studies Program in Berkeley, California, under the guidance of Donald Moyer, author of "Yoga, Awakening the Inner Body," Tesy continuously refines her craft through mentorship at the Iyengar Yoga Center. Her classes are known for their depth, dynamism, and immediate perceptible benefits, from the physical body to the innermost self. Each sequence is meticulously designed to gently, precisely, and safely guide you through poses, allowing you to savor the profound essence of yoga.
