Threshold Taekwon-Do is a modern martial arts school located in Dunedin, New Zealand. The school is dedicated to helping individuals achieve their goals on their black belt journey through the practise of Taekwon-Do, a Korean martial art designed for self-defence. Affiliated to International Taekwon-Do, Threshold Taekwon-Do offers classes for all ages and skill levels.

The school is equipped with modern facilities that provide everything students need for training. This includes a breaking machine, mirrors for form and technique practise, boxing bags for strength and conditioning, safety mats for sparring, and full-time facility access for coaches. The well-equipped facility ensures that students can train effectively and safely.

Threshold Taekwon-Do invites prospective students to schedule a visit and try out a session to see if it is a good fit for them. The school offers classes for mini kids, beginner children, teenagers, and adults. The experienced and dedicated instructors at Threshold Taekwon-Do are headed by Master Hayden Breese, a VII Dan black belt. The coaching team also includes Cody Thomson, a second-degree black belt, Mark Baldwin, a first-degree black belt, and Donna Sheriff, a 1st Gup.

The team is further supported by Austin Breese and Geoff Young, both 3rd Gup black belts.

The school offers membership plans for both children and adults/teenagers. Children can choose from plans that include paying per term, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Adult/teenager membership plans also offer flexibility based on individual preferences. By joining Threshold Taekwon-Do, students have the opportunity to become part of a supportive community that is committed to their growth and development.

Taekwon-Do is a martial art that emphasises quick and powerful kicks and punches, as well as various strikes, blocks, and techniques. Developed by General Choi Hong Hi in the 1940s and 1950s, Taekwon-Do has gained popularity worldwide, with millions of practitioners in countries all over the world. In addition to physical techniques, Taekwon-Do also focuses on mental discipline and the development of a strong and indomitable spirit. Practitioners of Taekwon-Do aim to cultivate qualities such as humility, perseverance, and respect for others.

At Threshold Taekwon-Do, classes are offered throughout the week. On Mondays, there are classes for beginner children from 4 pm to 5 pm, intermediate children from 5 pm to 6 pm, and adults/teenagers from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. The schedule ensures that students of all age groups have the opportunity to train and improve their skills.
