Head Instructor, Grandmaster Su Hwan Chung, an 8th Dan Black Belt with a deep understanding of Taekwondo techniques and philosophy, leads the classes at Tiger Taekwondo. With a focus on courtesy, patience, and respect, Grandmaster Chung instills in students the core values of the martial art, helping them to not only develop physical skills but also cultivate a disciplined mind and spirit.
Tiger Taekwondo offers a structured class system based on the Long Term Athletic Development Program developed by the Canadian Sport Centre. This program ensures that students receive training tailored to their individual developmental stage, age, and belt level. With multiple instructors available to provide personal instruction, students at Tiger Taekwondo receive a high level of individualized attention and guidance.
The martial arts school welcomes beginning students of all ages to join their classes. Each class is specific to age groups and further divided into belt levels within the class. Tiger Taekwondo members are required to register with the Alberta Taekwondo Association and Taekwondo Canada, ensuring they are part of a larger martial arts community.
Tiger Taekwondo also offers Paralympic classes, making Taekwondo accessible to individuals with varying physical abilities. Additionally, the school provides School Programs for students from Elementary to Senior High School levels, promoting the benefits of Taekwondo in educational settings.
