Tim Loughnan

Moving Soul Tim Loughnan is a well-established psychologist and psychotherapist located in Ocean Shores, servicing the Geelong area. Originally from Geelong, Tim spent many years in Melbourne before building a successful private practise in the Northern Rivers of NSW. In 2022, he made the decision to return home to Geelong with his family.

With over 30 years of experience in the field, Tim has been practising as a psychologist/psychotherapist since 1989. He offers individual and couple therapy, helping clients navigate through various emotional and psychological challenges. Tim believes in the wisdom and sovereignty of each individual, recognising that life can be messy and unpredictable.

In addition to therapy, Tim also offers a unique group dance/movement practise called “Moving Soul. ” This practise focuses on emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. It is part of the larger worldwide movement of dance offerings from Open Floor International. Unfortunately, Moving Soul is not currently running as Tim settles and builds his psychology practise.

Tim's dance journey began in 1982, and he has since completed various training in dance and dance therapy. He holds a Bach. Behavioural Science degree from La Trobe University, a Grad. Dip.

Ed. Psych from Monash University, and a Grad. In Movement and Dance from Melbourne University. His passion for dance and its healing power has been an integral part of his life and work.
