UC Netball Club, run by a team of dedicated volunteers, is Christchurch’s only official University of Canterbury netball club. Open to everyone, not just students, the club had 22 teams in the 2023 Winter Competition at the Christchurch Netball Centre.
UC Netball Club caters to both UC students and the larger netball community with teams ranging from competitive to social. They even have Open grade teams competing against other clubs and high schools. Off the court, UC Netball Club organises social events to create a friendly and inclusive environment for everyone.

You do not need to be a student to play for us, so you are welcome from the wider netball community in Christchurch.
For the 2026 season, we will have teams beginning in the closed grades of Premier 2, Senior 1, Senior 2, Senior Reserve, and Challenge, plus teams in the Open grade.
We cater for a range of interests, from competitive netball right through to social teams, with plenty of social events to help keep things welcoming and inclusive.
