Located in Upper Hutt, the Upper Hutt Roller Skating Club (UHRSC) is a vibrant and dynamic roller skating rink that has been serving the community since 1982. Nestled in the heart of Upper Hutt, the UHRSC boasts its own purpose-built rink on 4a Railway Avenue. This well-equipped facility serves as a hub for a variety of roller sports and activities, including roller discos, learn to skate classes, birthday parties, inline roller hockey, and roller derby. Each week, the UHRSC hosts Saturday discos from 3pm to 5pm, where skaters can groove to their favourite tunes in a lively and inclusive atmosphere. No booking is required unless you wish to reserve a table for a party. For those interested in learning the art of roller skating, the UHRSC offers Kiwiskate learn to skate classes on Tuesdays at 5:30pm and a special Saturday session from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. The first three lessons are complimentary, providing an excellent opportunity for beginners to get a taste of the sport.
In addition to regular sessions, the UHRSC also organises various events and programmes throughout the year.
