Doug MacLean remembers the days when golf balls would land in the old graveyard at Kirkapol. Over the years, visits by golf enthusiasts to Tiree have been on the rise, prompting Doug to revive the course. Originally, a nine-hole course was set up in 1962 at Vaul, but faced opposition and wasn't fully realised until later.

Today, Vaul Golf Club stands at the East end of the Isle of Tiree, spanning 2894 yards for Gents and 2576 yards for Ladies. The course includes 9 holes with a mix of par 3, par 4, and a par 5. Its history and layout make it perfect for beginners and holidaymakers.

Doug MacLean ensures that Vaul Golf Club remains welcoming and hassle-free. Visitors can play 9 holes for £15 or 18 holes for £25. A 7-day membership is available for £60, offering flexibility for those looking to play more frequently. Booking is straightforward – just make a reservation and head to the course.
