About
Vidarbha Chess Academy is dedicated to enriching the lives of youth and children through the profound game of chess. Embracing the belief that sports can be a transformative tool, the Academy strives to empower underprivileged talents by providing them with opportunities to excel both in chess and in life, ensuring a bright and equitable future.
The club's offerings are diverse, from hosting All India FIDE-rated chess competitions to organizing local and national level tournaments. Vidarbha Chess Academy stands proud in felicitating esteemed personalities like IM Anup Deshmukh, spotlighting their achievements, and inspiring the community. These events not only foster competitive spirit but also build a tight-knit community around the game of chess, driven by passion and mutual support.
The Academy, in collaboration with the Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation, also extends its efforts beyond sports. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the collective initiatives under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Dr. Bhushan Kumar Upadhyaya provided essential relief to the needy, showcasing the Academy's commitment to societal welfare.
Vidarbha Chess Academy is much more than a chess club; it's a family of over 500 members united by a shared goal of nurturing young talent. Here, every member is committed to making a meaningful impact, championed by dedicated leaders like Bhushan Shriwas. The Academy warmly welcomes everyone to join this journey, to play, to learn, and to grow in a supportive and enthusiastic environment.
