Vlada Maria Yoga

Vlada Maria, an experienced yoga teacher and bodyworker in London, has nearly a decade of teaching under her belt. Known for her compassionate approach, Vlada has brought her expertise to leading studios in London and has even taught in Bali, Costa Rica, and New York.

Specialising in stress relief and trauma-informed methods, Vlada's yoga style is alignment-focused and draws on her artistic background. Her classes emphasise not just the therapeutic benefits, but also incorporate challenges and strength-building, helping participants sharpen their resistance and focus. Vlada offers her classes in London and the Hertfordshire area, sharing her passion for yoga and its healing potential with the local community.

Vlada’s journey with yoga started in her childhood, introduced by her mother. She recalls the joy of mimicking animal shapes and playing inverted postures. However, a life-changing moment came later when, suffering from hay fever, she accidentally attended a yoga class. She walked out with a clear nose and newfound clarity, sparking her realisation that the body can be trained to heal itself.

Vlada's personal struggles with mental health and grief after losing two friends to suicide deeply connect her to her yoga practice. During these tough times, yoga became her sanctuary, helping her cope and slowly regain self-trust and body awareness.

Inspired by mindfulness and breath-led sequences, Vlada expanded her practice by enrolling in a Buddhist Meditation Intensive at the London Buddhist Centre in Bethnal Green. This deepened her understanding of the Dharma and the principles of Metha (loving-kindness).
