Join the Retired Teachers Assoc. Walking Group at WalkFest in Belair National Park to explore a variety of walking and hiking opportunities. This unique event, organised by South Australia's bushwalking clubs and Walking SA, offers guided walks and hikes for all levels of experience. From child-friendly to dog-friendly options, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Discover different walking destinations, gear from outdoor retailers, and more at this free event happening from 9am to 1pm.
To join the guided walks, registration will open online in March 2024. Walks depart every 10 minutes from the WalkFest site, and you can choose to pay $7 per person in advance or $7 per person / $14 per family on the day. Details on the guided walks and hikes will be available in March 2024 for you to decide the best option for you.
With over 30 exhibitors showcasing walking opportunities, trails, tours, and outdoor gear, attendees can learn more about walking options in South Australia. A demonstration stage will feature bushwalking equipment and experiences, plus an official ceremony to kick off the bushwalking season.
Walking SA, the presenter of WalkFest, is a not-for-profit organisation that supports walking in South Australia. By attending WalkFest, you are supporting their efforts to promote walking in the region.
Accessing WalkFest is easy with Adelaide Metro public transport options. Limited car parking is available at nearby car parks, so consider carpooling or using public transport. Marshals will guide drivers to parking areas, and walking paths lead to the WalkFest site at Main Oval.
