Walk It Off Spinal Cord Recovery and Wellness Centre has been providing care to the Newmarket community since 2012. Our centre offers a wide range of services for individuals with neurological conditions, aimed at guiding them on their recovery journey. Whether it's receiving physiotherapy, joining our fundraising events, or participating in our activity-based therapy program, there are numerous ways to get involved and support our mission.
Our interdisciplinary team consists of highly skilled professionals including Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Kinesiologists, and Physiotherapy Assistants, all dedicated to providing the best possible care for our clients. We focus on stimulating responses in paralyzed or weakened areas of the body through exercises such as core strengthening, gait training, and high repetition load-bearing tasks. Our programs are tailored to each individual client, with a focus on maintaining range of motion, muscle mass, bone density, and cardiovascular fitness.
Walk It Off is a not-for-profit organization that relies on the generosity of the community to support our members and continue growing our program. Donations can be made directly to the centre or through individual client PayPal links, where 100% of the donation goes towards their recovery journey. We also host fundraisers and events like the annual Kemper Invitational Golf Tournament to raise funds and awareness for our cause.
