Renee Heffernan, the brain behind Wanderlust Dance & Fitness, wants to spread the word to our amazing sports community. Based in beautiful Mount Maunganui, Wanderlust offers a range of classes like adult barre, pregnancy yoga, and various dance styles. Their Flexi Barre class is especially popular—it's a fun mix of pilates, yoga, and ballet that helps to strengthen, tone, and improve flexibility.
Renee and her team are passionate about providing high-quality classes for everyone, no matter your skill level. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned dancer, Wanderlust has something for you. Their mission is to make dance and fitness accessible and enjoyable for all, in a friendly and supportive setting.
Wanderlust also runs specialised programmes for Primary, Secondary, and Pre-schools. The goal? A bit about Renee: she’s Rotorua born and raised, started dancing at age 5, and hasn’t looked back. She holds a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching, focusing on PE and Dance. Plus, she's trained in prenatal yoga and barre, aerial yoga, and is an internationally qualified Total Barre instructor. With over 20 years of teaching experience in various settings, Renee brings a wealth of knowledge to every class.
