Townsville Boccia Club is excited to share information about the upcoming Southern Challenge event hosted by Sporting Wheelies. This annual Wheelchair Basketball competition is a great opportunity for players, coaches, referees, and volunteers to develop their skills and be a part of a competitive and fun atmosphere.
Open to players from all across Australia, the Southern Challenge offers different grades of competition, from social to A grade. This year, the event will also feature Round 2 of the Women's National Wheelchair Basketball League, showcasing the Sporting Wheelies Queensland Comets.
Scheduled for the 13th and 14th of July 2024 at Logan Leisure Centre, players can look forward to a round robin style competition with multiple games and Finals. Teams will battle it out to earn points for wins, with top teams competing for the Championship title.
Registration fees are $150 per player, with special rates for participants in Sporting Wheelies Wheelchair Basketball Social Sport Programs.
