Through running, she discovered a passion for pushing her limits and achieving things she never thought possible. Annette's positive experience with fitness spilled over into her everyday life, giving her the energy and strength to enjoy activities like exploring gorges and waterfalls with her husband during their travels.
Over the years, Annette has participated in numerous events, including marathons, half-marathons, 10 km runs, and Oxfam's gruelling 100 km overnight hike. Even in the face of adversity, such as the lockdowns due to the pandemic, Annette found solace in running and used it as a means to stay active and motivated.
