Windsor Dance eXperience Inc. (WDX) is a vibrant performing arts theatre and dance school based in Windsor, Ontario. As a non-profit organization, WDX is committed to providing a platform for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels to explore their creativity and passion for dance. Established in May 2003, WDX has since become a cornerstone of the Windsor arts community, showcasing over 50 productions and nurturing the talents of over 300 dancers.
At WDX, the focus is not only on dance performance but also on the complete theatrical experience. In addition to dance productions, the organization offers opportunities for involvement in costume design, lighting, set design, as well as stage and props management. This holistic approach ensures that participants gain a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to put on a successful performance.
Throughout the year, WDX stages 3 to 4 productions, each featuring up to 90 local dancers. From public performances and school shows to parades and mall shows, WDX dancers have the chance to showcase their skills on diverse stages within the community. The organization also offers technique classes, workshops, summer camps, and day camps at affordable rates, making dance accessible to all.
As a volunteer-run organization, WDX relies on the support of the community to continue its mission of keeping the arts alive in Windsor. Donations are vital in helping WDX provide its dancers and volunteers with the best possible experience.
