About
Colin wishes to share a warm invitation to everyone in the sports community. Down at Wivenhoe Sailing Club in Colchester, he’s been working hard to create a space where sailing enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels can thrive.
Nestled beautifully on Walter Radcliff Road, the club provides a range of top-notch facilities. On water, you’ll find a fleet of dinghies and keelboats, perfect whether you’re just starting or have been sailing for years. Colin’s also set up safety boat training and theory courses to make sure everyone stays safe out there. Throughout the year, there are social sails and interclub regattas to get involved with, offering plenty of chances to hone your skills and have fun.
But it’s not just about sailing. Wivenhoe Sailing Club has a vibrant social scene too. From music nights and art classes to pilates and yoga sessions, there's something for everyone. Colin’s even arranged regular panto group performances and committee meetings to keep the community spirit alive.
Safety is always a priority with Colin. The club provides up-to-date weather and tide information, so you can plan your sailing adventures with confidence. There’s also a “For Sale or Wanted” section for members to buy and sell sailing gear, making it easier to stay equipped.
Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or just getting started, Colin believes Wivenhoe Sailing Club is the perfect place to dive into the world of sailing. Its stunning setting, excellent facilities, and buzzing social calendar make it a hub for sailing enthusiasts in Colchester. Come and join the community – Colin and the team look forward to welcoming you on the picturesque waters of Colchester.
