YogaBellies Worcestershire invites you to join their YOGA FOR MUM & BABY class, designed specifically for mothers and their little ones. This unique class offers a wonderful opportunity for mothers to unwind, stretch, and connect with their babies, all while making new friends along the way.
During the class, mothers will engage in a blend of yoga exercises tailored to their bodies, focusing on building strength and stamina safely. The instructors are experienced in guiding mothers on how to adapt their yoga practice to include their babies, making it a special bonding experience for both. Breathing techniques and relaxation exercises are also incorporated to help mothers with their energy levels.
Don't fret if your baby cries or needs attention during the class – it's completely normal! Feeding, changing, crying, and burping are all embraced in this relaxed and welcoming environment. In fact, the instructors adapt the class each week based on the babies' reactions, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and included.
This class is particularly suitable for new mothers who are keen to try yoga. It covers a range of activities, including giggles, yoga postures, an introduction to baby yoga, shared postures for mothers and babies, and a soothing session under twinkly fairy lights and candles. The class lasts for one hour, providing ample time for mothers to bond, have fun, and meet other like-minded individuals.
Whether you're a seasoned yogi or have never tried yoga before, this class is suitable for all levels of experience. However, please note that mothers should wait at least six weeks after giving birth (eight to ten weeks for abdominal births) and listen to their bodies for any pain or discomfort.
To participate in the YOGA FOR MUM & BABY class, you can book a six-week block for £69. Alternatively, there is a trial option available for £11.50 for those who would like to give it a try first. Classes are held at different locations, including St Peters Garden Centre in Norton, Worcester on Tuesdays, The Wellbeing Tree in Bromsgrove on Wednesdays, and the Masonic Hall in Worcester on Thursdays. If your baby becomes more active and mobile, alternative classes can be offered to accommodate their needs.
