Newcomers to bush orienteering and to help experienced orienteers improve their skills. Our members participate in bush events all across Victoria and even travel to compete internationally. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced orienteer, you'll find plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself in the great outdoors with the Bayside Kangaroos.
Mountain Bike-O: Mountain Bike Orienteering is another popular branch of orienteering that our club is involved in. We host regular events for mountain bike enthusiasts to navigate through challenging terrains while competing against the clock. Our experienced members are always willing to offer guidance and share their knowledge to help newcomers improve their skills.
Sprint-O: Sprint Orienteering is a fast and exciting form of orienteering that takes place in urban environments. We organise regular sprint events in Melbourne and encourage members to test their navigation skills in a different setting. These events are highly competitive and attract orienteers from various clubs across Victoria. In addition to our various orienteering activities, we also have a strong social calendar. We regularly organise social events such as BBQs, picnics, and awards nights to foster a sense of community and camaraderie among our members. Frequently Asked Questions
We take part in all branches of orienteering including bush, mountain bike, street and sprint, across Victoria and beyond. We also provide on-course coaching to help you get started.
You can join us by coming along to one of our events in the calendar. For example, we host MelBushO events, including coaching available from 10am to 12noon on event days.
Just come to one of the events in the calendar and let us know you are new, and we will look after you. Event costs for MelBushO include $10 for adults, $5 for children, and $25 for a family cap.
