JLD Dance Studio, located in Bathurst, has been providing quality dance education since 2003. Under the leadership of Owner/Principal Karlee Hughes, a former student and long-term teacher, the studio offers classes in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical/contemporary, and acrobatics. Students are welcomed into a supportive and inclusive dance family where they can learn and share their passion for dance.
At JLD Dance Studio, students have the opportunity to participate in exams and eisteddfods, both as individuals and in groups. The studio also holds an Annual Concert each year, allowing all students to showcase their skills on stage. With a focus on creating a positive and happy environment, the teachers at JLD Dance Studio encourage students to explore and enjoy all aspects of dance.
The studio offers a wide range of class types for boys and girls starting from 2 years old. These include jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, pointe, tap, musical theatre, hip hop, stretch/strength, acro, and Moove & Groove. Additionally, JLD Dance Studio is an authorised provider of the Active Kids and Creative Kids programmes, which offer vouchers for dance classes to eligible students.
JLD Dance Studio is equipped with three studios that feature air conditioning, heating, mirrors, barres, and sprung wooden flooring. The studios also have bathrooms, waiting rooms, homework areas, and an office where students can purchase snacks and drinks. The studio follows the ADA syllabus for tap and ballet classes, while modern/contemporary and jazz classes offer a variety of exercises and combinations each week.
