Burton Joyce Football Club, based in Nottingham, is a community football club that has been providing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities for over 30 years. With a wide range of teams, including Vets, DS Active, and Girls teams, as well as a successful Mini Greens section, the club offers something for everyone.
The club's girls section was established in 2015 and has grown from strength to strength, offering girls of all ages the chance to participate in football. The club is also proud to have some of the best pitches in Nottinghamshire, including a 3G floodlit 7 aside pitch, ensuring excellent playing conditions for all teams.
Burton Joyce teams compete in various leagues, such as the Young Elizabethan League (YEL), Notts Youth League (NYL), and the Notts Girls & Ladies Football League (NGLFL), providing players with competitive games and opportunities for development. The club has experienced significant growth over the past decade, with the number of teams doubling, catering to players from ages 3 to 18.
In addition to the youth teams, Burton Joyce Football Club also has a thriving girls section, with six teams competing in the NGLFL. The club is proud to support the development of young players and coaches, offering coaching pathways to help them improve and evolve. The club also provides opportunities for young people to participate in refereeing courses and related endeavours, such as the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
With over 450 players and around 70 coaches and volunteers, Burton Joyce Football Club is a vibrant and inclusive community. The club organises upwards of 700 matches a season, providing ample playing opportunities for all members. The aim is to provide community football for all and create a pathway for young people to further themselves through sport.
