Halswell Cricket Club

Player to join our Junior Cricket Club. We have dedicated teams and programmes specifically designed for girls of all ages and skill levels, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for them to develop their cricket skills. Our experienced coaches ensure that girls receive the same level of training and opportunities as their male counterparts.

At Halswell Cricket Club, we prioritise the development and enjoyment of our junior players. We have nearly 30 junior teams, catering to boys and girls aged 4–13 years old. Our club has a strong focus on creating a positive and fun-filled experience for our young cricketers, allowing them to make new friends, build their confidence, and develop their skills.

Registrations for the 2023/24 season have closed, but Smash Play registrations are still open. Smash Play, formerly known as Superstar Cricket, is a modified version of the game for 4-7 year olds, introducing them to the basics of cricket in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Our junior cricket season starts on Saturday 14th October 2023 for soft ball and hard ball games. We also have a Club Fun Day on 25th November, where players can participate in various cricket-related activities and enjoy a day of fun with their teammates. The season resumes after the Christmas holidays on 3rd February and concludes with the final game on 16th March 2023.

For new players, we offer various team options to cater to their skill levels and age groups. In our soft ball grades, we have teams for boys and girls aged 4 and above up to Year 4 at school. These teams focus on introducing the fundamentals of cricket and providing a supportive and enjoyable experience. For players in School Year 5 onwards, we have hard ball cricket grades where they can progressively transition to the conventional game of cricket.

Our aim is to ensure that players in all grades have a fun, fair, and learning game.

We also take immense pride in our inclusive approach towards girls' cricket. We encourage and welcome girls of all ages to join our Junior Cricket Club and provide dedicated teams and programmes for them. Our goal is to create a supportive and empowering environment for girls to develop their cricket skills and passion for the game.
