I. Is a top-notch gym located in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, offering a unique and unparalleled fitness experience. Founded in 2001 by Rodney Moore, a highly experienced martial artist, the gym started in a humble garage with just three members. However, over the years, the club has grown exponentially and now boasts over 200 members.

Rodney's passion for martial arts began at a young age, starting with karate and eventually progressing to jiu-jitsu, boxing, eskrima, and mixed martial arts (MMA). He has trained under the guidance of renowned martial artists such as Mike Brewer, Pat Cross, Dan Inosanto, Eric Paulson, Machaddo Brothers, Dog Brothers, Frank Mir, and Master Toddy. Rodney holds impressive accolades, being the third person in Ireland to obtain a Blue Belt under Royce Gracie and the first person in Northern Ireland to achieve a purple belt under Next Generation Founder Chris Brennan. Additionally, he holds an Irish and UK Middleweight title and has competed for a place in the “Ultimate Fighter 3” television series.

At I. M. M. A Gym, the focus is on exclusive membership only, with no walk-ins or pay-per-class options available.

Every member must be on a membership payment plan. The gym offers a diverse range of classes catering to various levels and interests. On Mondays, MMA striking classes are open to adults of all levels, followed by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) fundamentals class and open mat sessions. Tuesdays feature MMA clinch and takedowns class for intermediate/advanced students, as well as open gym and MMA sparring for all levels.

Wednesdays include a beginner's 8-week fundamentals programme, BJJ classes, and open mat sessions. Thursdays offer Little Spartans, a self-defence class for kids aged six and above, as well as No-Gi technical class and open mat sessions. Fridays focus on No-Gi competition-based classes and BJJ and No-Gi open mat sessions. Finally, Saturdays offer beginner's 8-week programme, open gym, and Little Spartans.

I. M. M. A Gym prides itself on being the sole representative for Next Generation MMA in Northern Ireland, having joined forces and affiliated with Chris Brennan's world-renowned Next Generation family in 2010.

Rodney received his black belt under Chris Brennan in April 2019, becoming his only black belt in Ireland and the twelfth ever issued black belt in the world.
