Kettering Archers

Kettering Archers, an archery club based in Kettering, UK, is known for its welcoming environment. Chairman John Bosworth and the team are affiliated with Archery GB, offering a range of shooting opportunities for archers of all ages and skill levels.

From mid-April to mid-September, the club hosts outdoor shoots on Friday evenings, providing a scenic and enjoyable experience. In the winter, from mid-September to mid-April, the action moves indoors on Friday evenings at Buccleuch Academy.

John and his team are committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. They’ve set up a confidential email for concerns about mental health, bullying, harassment, or child welfare.

For beginners, Kettering Archers offers comprehensive courses led by Archery GB qualified coaches. These sessions cover everything from safety and shooting etiquette to bow assembly. All equipment and refreshments are provided. Juniors under sixteen must be accompanied by an adult.

Upon completing the course, participants receive a certificate and a voucher for the club’s regular shoots. The cost is £40 for adults and £30 for juniors, covering two three-hour sessions.
