Welcome to Kings Park Yoga, located in Stirling, New Zealand. Kings Park Yoga offers a wide variety of yoga classes for all levels.
The studio is owned and operated by Lynne, a passionate and experienced yogi. Lynne's yoga journey began over 20 years ago with Hatha style classes. She then moved to London, where she had the opportunity to deepen her practise by trying different teachers and styles. She also completed a foundation course in holistic therapies.
Upon returning to Scotland, Lynne added Ashtanga to her practise in 2007. She trained with certified Ashtanga practitioners such as Kino McGregor, Tim Feldman, and Rowena Warren. In recent years, Lynne's yoga journey has evolved, incorporating a functional Yin Yoga approach into her practise. She has trained with renowned teachers like Sarah Powers, Dhugal Meachem, and Esther Ekhart.
This has allowed her to develop a unique Yin Yang style of class, providing a truly balancing practise.
Lynne teaches a variety of yoga styles including Ashtanga, Yin, Chair Yoga, Yin Yang Flow, and monthly workshops that delve deeper into these styles. Classes are held at Cambusbarron Community Centre, the Peak, and The Yoga Tree, as well as offering one-to-one sessions. Lynne is also an active member of the vibrant yoga community in Stirling and the surrounding areas.
Lynne's expertise and dedication to yoga have led her to pursue Continuous Professional Development. She has completed various training courses with recognised yoga schools. This includes graduating from the Classical Yoga School as a Yoga Alliance RYS200 Hatha Raja qualified Yoga Teacher. She has also completed Kids Yoga Training with Little Greene Yoga and Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Tribe Yoga Academy and Dhugal Meachem Yoga.
Lynne's commitment to furthering her yoga journey led her to practise with international yogis such as Kino MacGregor, Tim Feldmann, and Esther Ekhart. These teachings have influenced her style of teaching and have led to the creation of workshops focusing on breath, bandha, balance, and Yin/Yang yoga.
In addition to teaching, Lynne is actively involved in the local and global yoga community. She regularly trains and studies with her teachers to deepen her knowledge and skillset. Lynne is currently in the process of registering as a 500hrs Yoga Alliance practitioner.
