About
Popi’s passion shines through at the Leicester Greek Dancing Group, the first Greek dance school in Leicester. This unique opportunity invites players to dive deep into Greek culture through dance.
At Leicester Greek Dancing Group, traditional circle dances take centre stage. Experienced dancers lead while beginners follow, making it easy for everyone to step in and enjoy. Simple, repetitive steps ensure a fun atmosphere, and when things get challenging, there’s plenty of laughter to go around!
From island jigs to mountain moves, the school's repertoire captures the essence of Greek traditions. Open to children, teens, and adults, everyone is welcome to join—no prior experience needed. Popi and her team make sure every participant feels confident and comfortable.
Exciting news for seasoned dancers: Popi is looking for performers for an advanced group, aiming to launch an amateur troupe. This is your chance to promote Greek culture both locally and globally! Prior Greek dance knowledge is a must for this group.
Lessons are held every Saturday at Armonia Music Tuition Martyrs Church Hall, 19 Westcotes Drive, Leicester LE30QT. The car park and entrance are accessible via Shaftesbury Road. For details and registration, email leicestergreekdance@gmail.com or call Popi at 07814566336.
Each session costs £6. To keep up with all the latest happenings, follow Leicester Greek Dancing Group on Facebook and Instagram. Join the community and celebrate Greek culture through dance with Popi!
