About
Netball Taranaki is a vibrant and thriving netball club based in New Plymouth, New Zealand. As one of the top netball clubs in the region, we are dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of netball at all levels, from grassroots to representative teams.
Our club is proud to offer a range of programmes and initiatives to cater to players of all ages and abilities. We have a strong focus on player development, providing opportunities for our members to improve their skills, fitness, and knowledge of the game. Our experienced coaching staff are committed to creating a positive and supportive environment where players can learn and grow.
In addition to our core netball programmes, Netball Taranaki also operates several satellite clubs throughout the region. These satellite clubs allow us to reach a wider audience and provide access to netball in areas that may not have had previous opportunities. We believe in the power of sport to unite communities and foster a sense of belonging, and our satellite clubs play a crucial role in achieving this.
Registration for our netball programmes is open to individuals of all ages and genders. Whether you're a seasoned player looking to join a competitive team or a beginner wanting to learn the basics, there is a place for you at Netball Taranaki. We offer flexible registration options and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that every player has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
Netball Taranaki is also proud to be involved in the representative netball scene. We have a number of teams that compete at regional and national levels, providing our talented players with the opportunity to showcase their skills on a larger stage. These teams represent the dedication and passion that we have for the sport of netball.
For younger players, we offer the futureFERNS programme, which focuses on introducing netball to children between the ages of 5 and 12. This fun and inclusive programme is designed to develop fundamental netball skills and ignite a lifelong love for the sport.
At Netball Taranaki, we value the support and contributions of our volunteers. We believe that volunteering is a rewarding and fulfilling experience, and we actively encourage individuals to get involved in various roles within our club. Whether you have a background in netball or not, there are opportunities for everyone to make a difference. Our volunteers play a vital role in the success of our club, and we provide training and support to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Joining Netball Taranaki means more than just playing netball. It means being part of a community, making friendships that last a lifetime, and experiencing the joy of supporting others to succeed. We invite you to join our club and experience the many benefits that netball has to offer.
