Our indoor track, opened in August 2011, is suited for riders of all abilities. It features the only fully indoor 8-rider electric start gate in the world, providing an electrifying start to the race. The track boasts an international standard design, with a five-metre start hill that leads into a range of jump configurations. This track is perfect for riders looking to hone their skills and progress in the world of BMX racing.
For those seeking a more challenging experience, our elite outdoor track awaits. With an eight-metre electric start hill, the only one of its kind in the UK, riders will encounter a technically diverse layout that pushes their limits. Ride alongside world-class BMX athletes as you navigate the twists, turns, and jumps of this high-intensity track.
Platt Fields Park BMX Track also offers sessions catered to adults, juniors, women, and girls, ensuring inclusivity for all riders. We provide coaching and open sessions for riders to practise and improve their technique. Safety equipment and bikes are available for hire, making it easier for riders to access the track and enjoy a thrilling ride.
Join Manchester BMX Club for a more structured programme, with regular coaching sessions and opportunities to compete in local and national events. Balance bike sessions are also available for young aspiring BMX riders, providing a safe environment for them to develop their skills.
